Congressional House Resolution H.R. 227 calls for the identification of human life as beginning upon fertilization. It is co-sponsored by 55 Republican Congressmen and no Democrats. As Brother Tom Snider points out; this is an unbelievable opportunity for the “Culture of Life” people to swing into action. Call, write or e-mail your representatives that you are in favor of this bill and that you strongly recommend in favor of its passage. The chances for passage of this Resolution may be slim but the effort is right on the mark.

Saving innocent life is not political talk; this is moral, Catholic teaching in communion with our Pope. It is permissible to bring this up at a Council meeting and discuss a strategy to alert all members to contact their representatives.
