09/07/08 Immigration Pilgrimage
Noon – 5:30 p.m.
Originating at St. Philip Church, Green Bay with stops at St. Mary of the Angels Church, Green Bay and St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.The Diocese of Green Bay, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, and St. Norbert Abbey invite the public to “A Journey of Hope, Justice for Immigrants and Refugees,” a pilgrimage to build awareness on Catholic social teaching and immigrant and refugee rights.
The afternoon includes a welcome and introduction at St. Philip Church, Green Bay; walk to St. Mary of the Angels Church, Green Bay; prayer, music, and catechesis at St. Mary; walk to the Cathedral; and Mass and further catechesis on Catholic social teaching and welcoming the stranger.
